Historic
Hut
Pointe
was
built
in
1944
by
the
first
Premier
of
the
Bahamas,
Sir
Roland "Pop" Symonette
(1964-1967).
Abandoned
for
over 10 years,
this
beautiful,
two (2) story
solid stone
building
was
purchased
and
completely
renovated
in
2004
by
a group
of investors
that appreciated
it's natural
beauty and
location.
In
addition
to
the
solid
stone
construction,
Hut
Pointe's
interior
floors and
roof rafters
were constructed
with all
Abacos
Pine (now
extinct)
and teakwood
decks on
the
east side
of
the
building.
This is truly
one of the
most prestigious
and unique
buildings
on Eleuthera.
Hut Pointe features seven (7) condominium residences and the Sundowner House. Each residence, including the Sundowner, has two (2) bedrooms, large living room, kitchen and bathroom. All appliances and furniture are brand new and includes air conditioning, king size bed in the master bedroom, two full size beds in the second bedroom, a fold-out couch in the living room, full service kitchens with microwaves, balconies, internet access, television, telephones and fully tiled shower and tiled floors.
